Dr. Simone A. Todd is an accomplished educational leader, literacy scholar, and advocate for student success with more than 19 years of experience spanning K–12 education, higher education, and virtual learning environments. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to creating inclusive, student-centered schools where every learner is empowered to achieve academic excellence and personal growth.

Dr. Todd holds a Doctor of Arts in English Pedagogy with a specialization in Literacy from Kindergarten through Adulthood, an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership, a Master’s degree in Literacy/Reading Education, and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. She also holds educational leadership, reading specialist, and teaching certifications across multiple states.

Prior to joining Palm Beach Preparatory as Principal, Dr. Todd served as a Virtual Intensive Reading Interventionist and Content Coach with Stride Inc., where she provided data-driven literacy instruction, coached educators, and developed innovative instructional practices for diverse learners. She also served for more than a decade with the School District of Palm Beach County as an Intensive Reading Interventionist, supporting middle and high school students while mentoring teachers and leading professional development initiatives. Her experience also includes service with the New York City Department of Education and as adjunct faculty at several colleges and universities, where she has prepared and mentored future educators.

A recognized leader in literacy, instructional excellence, and educational innovation, Dr. Todd has contributed to national assessment initiatives through ETS and the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), written curriculum and assessment materials, and served on leadership committees focused on student achievement and educator development. She has been recognized by the Florida Department of Education as a High Impact/Highly Effective Teacher for seven consecutive years and is known for her commitment to evidence-based instruction, collaborative leadership, and continuous improvement.

As Principal of Palm Beach Preparatory, Dr. Todd is dedicated to fostering a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous learning environment where students, families, faculty, and the community work together to ensure every child thrives. She believes in building strong relationships, empowering educators, and cultivating a positive school culture that prepares students for lifelong success.
